Abigail Black Elbaum (CC ‘92, BUS ‘94), Co-Founder and Principal of Ogden CAP Properties, will share her experiences founding a real estate development and investment firm, discuss the firm’s business strategies, and offer her outlook on the NYC and DC real estate markets. She will also speak to her role with the Real Estate Board of New York as Governor and other board involvements with prominent NYC institutions, as well as offering insights about breaking into and succeeding in the real estate industry. Ogden CAP Properties is a distinguished real estate management, development and investment firm representing the holdings of the Milstein family.

SPEAKER PROFILE:

Abigail Black Elbaum is a Co-Founder and Principal of Ogden CAP Properties, a real estate management, development and investment firm with assets in New York and Washington, D.C. She began her career at JPMorgan Chase in the Private Bank.


Abby's board affiliations include the New York City Police Foundation, the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter, the Mount Vernon Triangle CID and the Lincoln Square BID, where she is on the Executive Committee. She is also a Governor of the Real Estate Board of New York. Abby is active in a variety of capacities at New YorkPresbyterian Hospital, including the Sloane Hospital for Women Advisory Committee and the Heart Center Steering Committee.

An alumna of Columbia College and Columbia Business School, Abby has served on the Columbia College Alumni Association, the College's Board of Visitors and, in 2002, received the Columbia College Young Alumni Achievement Award. She is also former Chair of the Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee. In 2015, Abby received the John Jay Award at Columbia College for distinguished professional achievement. She is currently on the Steering Committee of Columbia College's Core to Commencement Campaign.
